Accidentally Used Conventional Oil!
I had a serious blonde moment today (I'm not blonde) and forgot that my 2000 E320 uses synthetic oil. I told the oil change place that I always used conventional and they looked at me funny but did what I told them anyway. How bad is this for the car? Should I have it changed to synthetic right away or is it safe to wait 2000-3000 miles? THANKS!

I'm no expert but since you already had synthetic in your engine, it creates a barrier on your metal parts that conventional motor oil won't mix with.
It all depends on how **** you are....If it was me...I'd go change it out just for peace of mind.

MBWorld Fanatic!
It will mix
with synthetic no problems.
Don't waste the oil and filter. Just change it in 3K and relax.
Your biggest concern should be that your oil change place most likely does not put in Mobil1 0w40 synthetic and whatever they put in is doing more harm than running conventional oil for 3k could eveeeeeer do.
