97 E320 R134 capacity

anyone know the proper amount of R134a for a 97 E320? searched around a bit and cant find what it holds. pretty sure the front end of my car was wiped out at some point, so if there was a sticker in the engine compartment, its gone. i am certified to handle refridgerents, and have a big machine at work that sucks and blows......just more familiar with a/c systems in class 8 trucks that might not be as picky about the proper amount as i have read mercedes can be.

thanks

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Variable demand system

best to not fill by pressure.
Pull charge,repair leak,replace dryer
Fill 97 E320

97 E320 R-134a 33.50oz. PAG-46 oil 8.5oz.
should be on decal on top of ecu cover by firewall.

Keep in mind that the R134 leaked out....perhaps not the oil.

I have charged my AC several times (1998 E320), few days later the system is empty again,, I know this is a dumb question, but how can I trace the leak.. is there a COMMON leaking issue , also ,, all the sudden the hood latch is not latching on the right side, I took the whole thing apart and checked it through and no mechanical problems were found, ,seem like the steel cable is like 1/8" shorter than it should be, is there a mechanical adjustment to the inner steel cable?

The next time you refill it inject some dye into the system. Drive it until some has leaked out and you can see where it is coming from with an ultraviolet light. I don't know what to tell you about the cable but it does sound like it needs some adjusting somewhere.

Is there a commom spot where I can check first? I mean should I check for leak under the hood first or inside the car? I also noticed the 2 front electric fans are not running ( the fans in front of the condinsor),, do they kick with the AC compressorthey come on as soon as the AC is on?
