W210 M112 E320 V6 Headers

Who has headers on their M112 V6 W210?

I'm considering some...

Looking at these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Ben...d27564&vxp=mtr

If anyone has bought that particular brand before let me know, keen to know how the fitment and build quality is.

For everyone else with headers, much of a power increase? I will probably get a tune to make sure they are running optimally.
I'm looking for more torque, not fussed about top end.

Thanks

I have never heard of that brand before. Price is not bad, there was a sponsor on here in the past selling some for about $600 if i recall.

and no reply was because most around here know there is not much to be gained by shorty headers in performance and if you install them for looks you would be the only one to ever see them.
In short,a waste of money and time for no gain.
Other performance procedures gain more for far less money.

Suggestions please?

If you look at stock headers the ID is tiny! Not saying bigger is always better but adding flow (and a tune) can't hurt?

Small engine

Designed with more flow than it needs to perform. Shorty headers are not going to increase flow, you still have the rest of the exhaust system. Enlarge all the pipes and the engine will lose torque off the line and move the power band upwards where you hardly ever need it.
So added flow out without understanding how it affects performance ,can hurt.
What kind of tune are you thinking of? New cams? Ported heads?

Suggestions
Light weight quality performance rims 17inch with 235/45/17's et 30 front et 35 rear
unsprung (rims and tires) weight saving of 55 pounds (25Kg.) effectively gains the same performance as adding 20 H.P.
Car stops quicker,handles better,accelerates quicker.
Stainless steel braided brake lines, improved brake feel and reaction.
A fresh oem air filter every 15K miles
Light weight space saver spare tire decreases sprung weight.Make sure diameter of tire matches ones on the car.
Secondary cat delete with H-pipe cross over. Increases low end torque.

Thank you, I will look into the secondary cat delete and H pipe. I agree the car definitely needs more low down power...

The car already has an OEM E55 AMG exhaust from the centre resonator back.

Already removed my spare wheel, but not going to go with lightweight rims at the sacrifice of aesthetics

Tune wise, just some sort of ECU remap, not too sure at this stage... even though my car doesn't have an OBDII port (Aus/Euro spec pre facelift W210) I assume I can tune it somehow through the port it does have?

Word to the wise

Don't mess with the ECU.
It is married to the TCU and The EIS. You toast it or screw it up and you have one worthless headache on your hands.
There are plenty of light weigh performance rims that have aesthetics.
Not talking about competition carbon fiber rims, just alloy much lighter than oem.

Well, You can try UPSOLUTE.com they are from AUSTRIA and i dont think they will mess your car.. they guarantee it... you can add more power for 350 USD.. EVEN IF YOUR CAR IS OBDI port... Ignore the headers, take your car with a custom/hand made headers guy, show him some kleeman header pictures.. and he will know what to do... you will spend the same... LUCK!!
