E 320
Lamp Defective? All lights work

98 E320, Lamp Defective indicator come son and no lights anywhere are out. Once in a while, those lousy light bulb socket in the rear become loose, nut now everything works, indicator is on. Help !

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Check one of the

two license plate bulbs.

possible a bulb is on its way out as the resistance changes it is being picked up as bulb out. only thing to do is wait till it blows.

Keep checking-------you have a bulb out!!

PS----watch out for that shyster bulb and pad bicycle repair guy----he will no doubt suggest you purchase crank position sensor!!

+1. I had the same problem. I had the lamp defective message too and it took me a while to realize that it was one of the license plate bulbs that were out.
