Time to bid Adieu

Sorry folks,
With the passing of time and the constant hounding from a certain forum member that is intent in following me from forum to forum, I have decided to leave MBWORLD and leave said member to follow his wish to spread as much poor information as he desires. Gets very trying and tiring having to counter off the wall solutions from some guy that claims to own an MB shop doesn't even know his own model (300TD) contains a wastegate in the turbo unit, and plays solution solver by asking for VIN numbers and look up parts in the EPC.
He was banned for life on Benzworld.org for doing the same things and more.

It sullies this great forum to have to constantly be nipped at from behind by said member or to have solutions to issues countered by comments such as "can't be the crankshaft position sensor without a code for a failed CPS"
or inane comments like he is waiting with "Baited breath"
When it gets to the point of growing weary putting up with his nonsense, my time is better spent doing things much less wearisome and much more fun.
Five years has been a good ride.
I wish you all safe and happy journeys,
Rob

Sorry to hear you're leaving. You've helped countless people and educated us all on the W210.

Best of Luck in the future.

You will be missed. Will you still be on the other forum or has said member followed you there as well?

Is there any way to have him banned for life on here too? You've helped so many members and googlers that it just isn't right for you to have to leave because of an annoying member. You will definitely be missed.

Hi Rob

I respect your decision to leave the hassle behind. I do not agree with it but do respect it. Thank you, for the help you have given me. We have never met but I feel like I know you. It is unfortunate that one spoils it for all concerned. Maybe the moderator can intercede here. Best wishes to you Rob and thank you.

Come on Rob, you have thicker skin then that. You rule this forum and we need you here. Don't let an annoying member chase the king from the palace. My E320 is parked across the street from the site of Baldwin Motion evey day and you're the only one up here that knows what that means. Don't leave us :-(

Rob, thanks for your contributions and your tools. I'm fine with your decision, as my car should be going to it's new owner tomorrow. So, I guess my 5 years are up as well.

Maybe this site just needs a sticky stating not to believe anyone from another planet.

That's a real pity. Your advise, and assistance in tracking down problems has been invaluable, and has personally saved me a lot of time/money. You'll be missed.

I do not know the OP. I do not dislike the OP!!

Although not a professional educator, I have taught at all levels of HS and University. I have had years of diversity and bullying training. If this was a class room the OP would have been sent to the office for bullying.

This is getting very old and detracting from helping folks with issues. That is what I want to do. I may not be correct all the time, however I am entitled to an opinion..Have a great day!!

I have been on this board for some time and I have yet to read any bullying remarks from Ohlord. If you have something specific to bring forth then you should and report said infraction to the mods ie. sending somone to the office.
If you are indeed trying to help people with info then you instead of making a lame remark about anger management and try to press someone's buttons you should either not say anything at all burry the hatchet

Read the original post. You really think that is apropriate. I do not. In any event it is a moot issue. The problem has been solved.

maybe the problem is solved for you but not for the members here on this forum.
He did not finger you directly untill you chimmed in with an intent to start some kind of public display of soap opera antics.
I believe he earned his status of forum member helper.

That is just not so-----show me the beef---where is that post!!!

Members come and go. I can't believe that you think that one members knowledge is greater than all the members knowledge. The Forum is group knowledge much bigger than any individual.

One member's knowledge is not greater then all, but, a compilation of members like Ohlord makes this forum a place that many can benefit from.
Since you brought up the beef part, what is your beef with him?
Based on other members comments, he has not steered anyone wrong and saved them a ton of headaches and money.
Reading your advice is like reading a Haynes manual, Interesting cover but not enough content to get the job done.
I've been in the automotive business many years and knowledge and experience is worth its weight in gold.
Ohlord is willing to share that with forum members for free and you want to deprive us of that?
i dont want to be stuck with members like BLTSERV or CLAYJ that copy and post stuff and have no clue in real world experience.
I'm not saying that you have no experience, but, untill you gain member's confidence in your advice , either agree with a said suggestions or provide sound advice that is better .

That's the same Ole tactic that member uses in every forum whenever he trips over himself.

He is a big insensitive cry baby and if you cry loud enough he will be back, just as gruff as ever.

I for one hope he sticks to his promise, however you wait he'll be back!!

PS: Yea, the lower end of the back bone maybe, no one individual is bigger that the group!!

this is your post about Ohlord.

If your backbone's lower end is hurting the whole body suffers.
If anybody is going to trip up I willing to bet it's going to be you, he prooved himself, you havent. Have nice day!

My guess is that's an inside reference to something only the OP knows what he's talking about...... Not a comment about the knowledge of the forum.

Plutoe, I knew that you'd find your way here eventually. Starting with an offensive comment like this for your first post in this thread really shows the kind of person you are. Who are you to be walking around acting like the best thing since the invention of tampons? From all your posts I've read on here and benzworld, you seem to want to be the only one to give advice and anyone who stands in your way is wrong. Your contribution to forums has consisted of bad advice and rude/smart-*** remarks.

You were banned from benzworld for a reason. In case you missed it, here's a little reminder of what people thought about you
