Wow I see you saved the first step for last, however you are correct---grab one side of the mirror and pull down and disconnect the connector and away you go.

That is not an easy job----why not do a DIY for the rest of us!!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOps --------------I looked at a post 97 E320 and I see your whatever refers to a 95 E320.

I typically do not do things from memory, but I may have here. In any event please supply your VIN this way there will be NO confusion on my part.

Haha algood mate...i managed to get it out by just pulling down on it..the mirror popped off the rotating ball thing then i went and pulled down on that..takes quite a decent pull to pop it free..i have now got the headlining out and have cleaned it.. got all the foam off, takes hours to clean.

Hardest part so far was getting it out of the car in one peice, i wouldnt recommend pulling it out unless it was absolutely neccesary.

I put the old material in the washing machine to see how well it will turn out, otherwise i will haveto go out and buy some new material

The headliner turned out perfect after running it through the washing machine, however i started to stick it back to the board and it is very difficult to stretch the right amount to line all of the cut out's up, so i trashed that idea after about 5 minutes lol.

I took a visit to a fabric door this morning and found some material that matched the charcoal interior of my car perfectly, and was nice and elastic, so i decided to buy it..i have been working on it off and on most of the day, will post a picture when complete.

just not sure what to do with the mirror and sunvisors being a cream colour
might haveto get the vinyl and plastic paint on the go.

Did you re-do the foam too?

I didnt redo the foam, as that was what failed the first time, and it is quite hard to source materials like that in new zealand.. I put it in the car, havnt put the mirror or visors back in yet though, still in the process of being painted. Here are some pictures..sorry about quality, mobile phone is the only camera i have
