Having bad luck trying to fix blower. No power.
I recently bought my son a 98 e320 I found with 85k, no accidents for $5800. Drives great, everything works fine, except the Hvac blower. It needed new tires & brakes, so I'm trying not to spend much $. I saw the blower/regulator is a common problem. It was easy to remove & install. The car had the newer replacement Behr parts stamped 07. The 1st time I bought a Metric blower & Uro regulator. Didn't turn on. So I bought a Tyc blower, didn't work either with the same regulator. I figured both could not be bad. I checked all fuses. I researched & saw another guy had same problem & said his shop told him the Tyc did not have the correct resistance & to buy Behr or Oem only. I was trying to save $ on son's 1st car & avoid this. But now I ordered Both Behr replacements from Autohaus. If this doesn't work I don't know what to do. Everything else on the car works great w/o problems. I just put new fr.brakes & tires on. The $ is adding up...

Ok, Behr blower & regulator came today. Hooked them up, they don't work either. Can't be getting power. Yes I checked the fuses. Any ideas? Everything else on the car works fine. Think it needs a new climate control head unit? I can hear it moving the vents around behind the dash & the rear defrost works. My next step is to take to local german shop, see if they can sort it out.
