Question code: P1227

Guys,

Does anyone know about code: P1227..?, it appears with with my friends "2000 W210 E320 & W208 2001 CLK55",

with some research, it could be a part of air conditioning, called:-

"Exterior distribution shaft position sensor",,

what & where this sensor...??

If the car is starting when cold but not restarting when hot, this may be referring to the Crankcase Position Sensor. Found on most cars at the back of the engine near the flywheel. On the W210 V6 it's on the left side. Not visible without a mechanics mirror. Plenty of online DIY's for replacement.

ZAYED,,
How well do you know these guys, because I think that both of them are feeding you a line of HS

Both the 112.941 and 113.984 are gassers and there is no repeat no P1227 fault code associated(listed) by MB for either of those engines.

Is this miss info comming from the mega poster Mr. sausage at kiddy benz??

This is a code most related to Diesel engine cars. As the cars you refer to are gasses, this should not be a relevant code. Not sure how you proceed to find a solution.

That's all more misinformation for folks who don't know especially the kiddy benz mega posters----Look at the WIS docs for those specific engines fault list-----wada you see!!!

Why do you think I asked for the VIN!! to waste my time!!

Ahh, WASTE YOUR TIME..! why, nobody forcing you to answer anything..,

we believe you know your stuff very well, but that doesn't means you're more knowledge than others..!(?)!

btw; i went to the dealer, and they said in some cases; P1227 appears during to malfunction of the sensor inside climate control unit(part of the unit circuit),

i replace it with another unit, P1227 NOT show-up again, and A/C working as it should...

Thankss for reply & help fellows

Thank you for doing your home work!!

How to proceed use DAS Xentry in simulation mode and do a CDI or BT car!! and ask to look at the fault list for the two cars---wada you see!!
