Sunshade was stuck in the up position. Found bits and pieces but nothing comprehensive about removing, rebuilding, replacing it. More involved than I thought if only because the old adhesives and plastic pieces tended to disintegrate upon disassembly. Cost for the new sunshade motor and gear assembly was in the $360 range. Other piece parts extra. See attached for DIY on removal and renovation.

Whatever you do, do NOT follow the Crutchfield instructions to use "significant force" to remove the rear headrests! They slide right out if you just press the release levers.
