Instrument Cluster 2000 Mercedes E 320 Wagon
I need to send in my instrument cluster to BBA remanufacturing to get it diagnosed and fixed. I have read all the threads I can find. My question is once I disconnect the wiring from the instrument cluster to send it in, will the car still work. This is my daily driver, so it must function while being repaired. I have read that the car will start and drive, just want to make sure before I try it.
My display is almost dead. Speedo, tack and temperature work, but everything else is iffy. Gas needle does not work.
Thanks for considering this.

Mileage counter is in the cluster, so it will not record, but do you really care?
