Unhappy Map light wont work after switching to LED

Hey! I need help! I recently switched the map light (reading light) to a LED light but after i was done it didn't light but the other two big lights (driver and passenger lights) started to light when they weren't supposed to (the button was in reading light mode). I tryed to put in the original light but it didn't work. I also tried to put out the other two lights but it didn't work either.

1. Why dosen't the map light work?
2. Why does the other two lights take over in reading light mode?

I put in some images making it easier for you to understand. The last one is when reading light mode is on. Sorry for bad english (i am swedish) and i appreciates any help i can get!

Not all, newer updated designs are polarity independent.

Hey, Thanks for your answer. I appreciate that you gave me the right light to use but shouldn't it work with the standard light? It was working before i switched it to LED. Could it be a broken fuse?

Thanks for answer! So it should work with a LED light?

Yes, LEDs should work in there, but I can't speak for the units you purchased. Might want to try contacting the vendor you purchased from

If you rule out polarity issue, my other guess would be that computer is not sensing the resistance it should and is not turning the power on.
In this case you need to look for "error free" bulb or add a resistor to fool the computer.

Thank you for carrying. This is a more likely reason. If the other two lights take over it has to be a resistor problem. The car data must think its still functional?
