1998 E320...I have some questions about some of the features and buttons on the dash.

Next to the shifter a "W/S" switch...what is it?

1. Just below it there is a small button that slides left and right. Looks to have a small figure on the left (when in the right position) and a small dot on the right side (when in the left postion). What is this?

2. Is the a place on-line that I can view the owner's manual?

1. It''s abreviation of Winter/Spring. If you set it in Winter mode, then your car will start out at 2nd gear, Spring mode start out your car at first gear. Only use Winter mode where there're (thick) snow or mug (to prevent wheel spining), otherwise, always stay on Spring mode.

2. It's child safe mode. If you set it, then passenger on the back seat can not lower or raise window.

3. No

 

Actually the w/s switch is for winter/summer,not spring. ust a detail that the previous poster got wrong. All else is correct. Suggest yo purchase a manual from a dealer
