Here it is up close:
Oh, many thanks to Jimmy for the "on-line" assistance on the conversion and the pressure to spend some more $$$$$$
P.S. please don't hassle me about the bling bling mirrors

Whitey, they look great! You're just used to the old tail-lamps. If you don't like them I'll give you my address & you can ship them to me!

I think the clear top ones would look better on your white car. The smoked blinker looks to dark for your car.
Zam, I did remember your recommendation from my earlier test pics and I did agree somewhat but then I saw a white SL55 and fell in love with the tints against white.....but somehow the design of the W210 E55 lights don't look as tight with a white car
. I'm not saying the E55 lights look bad and in isolation, on dark cars or as Jimmy had said before, one's with tinted windows, they look so much classier than the clear type. It is comforting to hear someone with a white one liking it tho' (CorpDL, yo!).
I wouldn't mind swapping eventually but shipping will just kill it folks
I don't know which one is better.
and for some reason, the AMG monoblock look great on your car! Must be the colour...

Yes, color has a lot to do with it, thats why the clear updated lights might have looked better:
I hads the lights shaved to fit the sockets as recommended on this forum.
Do I need a body shop to install?
Thanks for any help.
1) Strange that the wire is too short, I have plenty slack with mine........are you sure its not caught one something?
2) I presume you mean the middle two lights. Mine fits almost perfectly flat (the bolt on the inside sits against the panel...it did take a bit of convincing tho) ......I would be very worried that it didn't cuz it may mean water will seep thru. Sounds like you just need to shave off more of the inside......some bits need to be pretty thin. There is a risk of over-filing to the relectors so u'll need to be careful as well as patient (took me over 3 hrs without the right tools!). If you're in So Cal/LA, Jimmy may be able to help. good luck!
This is a little off topic, but I LOVE your wheels
