If you just need a fun transportation and a lot of room, for $1400 its good. But this car is rebuilt title. You never know what happened to it, how bad was the accident. Maybe frame is bent, maybe engine has a crack, who fixed it? Get the car inspected with your mechanic. If everything is fine, why not? You will either get a good car or good life lesson With a price tag of $1400 both options are good

Basically what noud said.

I'd rather pay a couple thousand more and get a nicer one with less miles and a clean title (that being a big thing). That one is also pre-facelift which makes it worth less IMO. I paid $3500 for mine with 125k on it. It also needs an oil level sensor right now too.

Personally, I would never buy a salvage/rebuilt title vehicle.

I wonder where the seller got valve cover gasket as MB does not use them.
Ronald is spreading chunks of information over the net.
On other forum he posted picture showing very deteriorating paint, what would be main problem for me.
Everybody hates MB with bad paint.

I just went over there to see the post. It's been awhile since I've posted there and was greeted with this:

You have been banned for the following reason:
No reason was specified.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

I have no idea why they banned me and never got a message about it. Guess I was a dick to someone and they got butthurt. Even going through my post history on there shows nothing bad unless they deleted the offending post.

edit: Apparently it was something inappropriate I posted in the classifieds back in 2014. Shows how often I go on there.

I prized benzworld for the best commercial administrator ever, but Ron retired few years ago and commercialized forum come with new agendas that were not always in car owners best business.
Still having W163 years ago - it was the greatest place to get help with new technology and W210 section is still the best DIY place you can imagine. Over the years the section had contributors hard to imagine on any other forum.
When mbworld, with its "Playstation moderators" gives more freedom for expression, that can be very bad thing like Plutoe character proves.
Than without contributing moderators, the place is very chaotic.
To each of his own, but don't expect commercial forum to observe owners best interest period.

I like Plutoe. Forums are a community of people and not everyone is nice and friendly. I've never seem him post something malicious towards someone. People that ask stupid questions need to be called out at times.

There are no stupid questions, but expect to be treated like an idiot if you ask one.

Must be my bad luck as Plutoe made hundreds of insulting and personal remarks to me and moderators support the behavior.
He is sick individual and my feeling is that he was taking it on me for being baned from benzworld as his personal remarks were both - me and benzworld
As each clown he can be entertaining and his knowledge how to find info in catalogs could be useful, but his personal problems outweigh his good potential.
Maybe it is not his fault being sick, but definitely administrators fault for turning the forum into swamp on occasions.
