Can the volume knob on the stock w210 radio be replaced?
I have a stock radio (no navigation system) in my 2001 E430.
The volume knob is coated with some kind of rubbery substance. Someone with particularly sharp fingernails (hint - not me) put marks in the knob, which eventually caused a small section of the rubber to crack and fall off.
I'd like to replace just the knob if I can. Does anyone know if this can be done, or am I looking at trying to get some kind of rubber cement to fix the damage?
Thanks!

Radio volume knob.
Check with your local MB dealer, I believe they carry the knob (around $10.00) or go to this link : http://www.beckerautosound.com/parts/index.html.
Good luck.

I did it!
If the radio is Audio 10 it is pulled out.
If it is multimedia with navigation - it must be disassembled, which is done quite easily. The button has a "hat" and only goes inwards.
About the buttons - I cleaned them from the rubber, took a black spray and they became perfect!
