Opening doors

Is there a way to prevent a locked door from being able to be unlocked and opened from the inside? Is there some command or switch? thanks

Mercedes did not put child safety switches on the rear door latches like a lot of American cars have. So I do not think that there is any function for that.

I think the child lock in the rear doors is an option, mine came with the Advantgarde package.

I am talking about the front two seats. If the doors are locked, and I pull on the hinge on either door while driving, the lock pops up and I can get out of the car. Thanks.

If all you want is to prevent the door from locking when driving, then its just a matter of turning off the auto lock function i.e. depress the central lock button on your center console for over 1 minute (do it again if you want to re-activate it).

But I think you can't prevent unlocking when the door is opened from the inside as I beleive it is a mechanical process, that cannot be reprogrammed. Why do you want to stop your passengers from unlocking the door anyways? Problems with people jumping out of your car or are you planning on hijacking someone?????

Im not talking about the movement of the vertical lock by the driver and passenger side. Im talking about the passenger and driver being able to move the handle and causing the door to go from a locked to unlocked position. thanks.
