Mods that give your w210 Diesel a facelift...

Just two things that I wanted to try this week on my day off. I really like the daytime running lights on the Caddy CTS's. So I figured I make my own amber DRL conversion.

Since I have retro'd Audi S4 xenon projectors, the stock fog lights became virtually useless. Not to mention the intense heat they make and self destruct on their own with time. I re-based the H1 originally that was in their to an 1157 base that I bought at AutoZone. I did a little trimming and some JB Weld to secure the base in place.

On a second note I liked how the late model C-Class motors have the spark plug engine cover a nice deep red. So I was influenced after repainting the spark plug cover on our C220 to the same on my E300.

Enjoy!

Looking good! What type of paint did you use for the engine cover? High temp Rating? I would like to do engine cover and calipers but not sure what type of application to use.

Too much of a pain to find replacements if they were to fail.

I removed the other headlight ring becuase it wasn't sitting firmly on thje lense. I will re-install it probably this week. I noticed it when retro-fitting the headlamp housings with some Valeo xenon projectors.

I am currently at, 153,868 or so. Just came back from a weekend trip so I remember :-)
