I did, but the problem I have is that the volume is very low and I have to turn it way way up with the volume control. If I forget to turn it back down when I go to the radio or CD player, I blast out my speakers!

I have enough volume with my MP3 player. I would say it's louder than CD.

I "piggy backed" my Ipod onto the CD changer input on my audio unit and the volume is louder than the CD's when the ipod's volume is up high.

The aux input should be in your glovebox if you have command. If so, you'll (obviously) need to get connecting cables. If not, you'll need to piggy back onto your only audio input plugs at the back of the head unit (for the CD changer) and use an AV selector to switch between the two devices.

BTW, Ipod is not your only choice but it and the Creative MP3 player that has 20 or 40GB of space for thousands of songs.

Not sure if the aux jacks are RCA plugs, but if so, you'll at least need one of these (plus a car charger to keep the Ipod groovin' on long trips:

Ignition Noise With Charger

I've connected my Palm Pilot with MP3s to the Aux input. It works fine, but if I try to connect the 12V. charger I get engine noise over the speakers. Does anybody know how to correct this problem?

Audio noise filter, see https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...highlight=hiss

I'm haing additional hissing when I've plugged in my Sony Aux-in adapter but it might also be interference from all the wires behind the dash where I've positioned it......need to try other places.
