Huh? There's no button between the mirror and rear shade......left to right:

1) Parktronic on/off
2) Trunk lid
3) Side mirrors adjustment
4) Folding mirrors
5) Rear shade

Actually, I took it off after I took the pics:p In real life, the FAKE cf stick-on didn't match with my shift knob or the black birdseye (in the way that my real CF shift knob does, kinda brownish)

Just wanted to see what everyone thinks Sorry to get you all excited Rich, hee, hee. Now I've got loads of CF stick-on and no where to put it... maybe on my grill? Hey Rich! Want some fake carbon for your carbonized Brabus????

Next I'm going to find a way to fit a leather shift gate boot on (like the newer Benz's), prob is I won't be able to see what gear I'm on or use the W/S button.......

How about doing it in black birdseye maple, like you thought about? It looks good on my CLK like that! I don't know if you can get one for that shift gate, though!

Interesting project to embark on, I too like the leather shift boot for a sporty appearance. BTW: The black birdseye maple is the sheit dood!

Here in HK but I have seen it on various US websites (or if you have Momo speciaty/souvernier shops there, they should have it). I've seen the same one with a chrome/silver ring at the bottom which is quite nice.

Thanks I chose not to do the regular MB brands/designs just to be different - very glad with the way it matches my Black Birdseye.

Nah, not feeling any justification for them...sorry. I just want to get rid of that black plastic surrounding the gear shift - looks kinda cheap against the chrome ring and black birdseye
