Can be cheaply and easily done if you don't have the original head unit, but I assume you do....

Go the the apple store and get the integrated charger / FM modulater cable. Your ipod music will enter your OEM stereo through the 87.7 (I believe) FM station. Should not be a problem. Check out the apple website to give you a better description.

Based on various feedback, the FM link may not sound the best and/or there will be interferences/interuptions depending on where you are. I avoided this option cuz I'm in the city most of the time and don't wish to waste my money on something that's not going to be a seemless link.

yeah, i bought that already...its pretty decent for its price but often times i get interference. so im looking for a way to hardwire it to my stereo, which hopefully will yield better sounds.

Thumbs up Hardwiring is defintiely better

I've done loads of searches for aux adaptors for the MB unit but seems they haven't made one for our application. Besides, even if u find one, it'll probably cost you just as much to get a new decently priced and quality headunit with CD changer to hardwire the ipod to......some headunits actually come with an external/front aux input plug so it could be as easy as plug and play. So it really depends on your budget and how much you really want that Ipod in the car......I sure think its worth it. Good luck!

All you need is a headunit with RCA audio input plugs for the connection to CD changer. There is a simple way of hooking up both the Ipod and CD changer even if the headunit doens't have its own aux input or the headunit does not have a compatible aux-input adaptor, as long as the audio connection to the CD changer is via RCA wires.........

Actually, a COMAND unit will solve you problem. Steve installed a new multi-function steering wheel and updated cluster on my car last week and also gave me ipod integrated functions into my COMAND by simply adding a single audio cable into the COMAND. So I can now listen to the ipod through the system/aux feature of the COMAND. Sound is great as usual but my next objective would be to find a nice ipod holder instead of just putting it in the center console box where it is right now.

Agreed 100%...but it is the expensive route.

Paxfo, if you can see on my pic, the space next to the steering wheel (obviously the other side for you) is a great place for a holder. That way, you can easily see the screen and even operate the unit...just a suggestion
