Does anyone know of a good Mechanic book for a 2000 E320 step by step do it yourself manual? Thanks

 

i have been searching for a long time to find such a book. What my research has brought to me is that there are no leagal published books, however, I may be able to get the CD's that the dealers get for all the benzes up to 2004. However, it is not cheap. If interested, let me know.

I have one that I am unable to use, if anyone is interested who uses Win2000 opsys. I bought it for my brother but he's playing solder in Kabul. I already have my own for WinXP. $100 shipped within US.

MB WIS service info

I, like diffuzi0n, have found that no printed shop manuals exist from MB or Bentley Publishing for late models (last 5 yrs or so). The ones from Mitchell, Clymers, Chiltons are really not that great in terms of detail so we're left with the $100-300 CD version from MB.

 

It seems that i may get what he has, for windows 2000, and you might need 2 cd players to install it.

 

My brother sampled it before he left and was able to successfully install it using one CD drive PC. (diffuzi0n, am I posting a fair price for this thing
or is the market value lower? it was purchased at $300). tnx

 

what i just got my hands on its a set of 5 cd's and it has a make on all benzes since 1956-2004. I just got it for $94. I still havent installed it. However, it is what dealers are suppose to use. I will update you once i have it installed successfully.

considering that the new price is $95, I probably feel better selling this for
something like $85 shipped then. when I get home from work I'll dbl check
to ensure that the install sheets are all intact. it's a 4-5 CD set.

i am unable to verify, first hand, that it works under Win2k as I do not have
that as my operating system. I have a DVD version of same and that works
well. (just so there is no misunderstanding about the thing working or not).
my brother had it going okay though, I understand.

I can hear a ticking sound behind the front driver side wheel when the cra is running. What could it be? It goies away when I drive away.

 

The MBWIS I have, G.05.09, works on Windows 2000 and XP. It can be installed with one CD drive. The latest update I have is 06/03 for USA and CA.

why bother with these CDs that are difficult to instal and most of the time are obsolete of shaddy origins?.
get on the MB owned site (startekinfo.com) sign up for a 24 hour access or longer and download/print all you might be interested on fior your car including the latest technical notes.
Most of these CDs on ebay are just gray sources of pirated copies. There may be a few real owners that got one before and wants to get rid of it, but when you find a guy constantly offering those the red flags raise all over.

 

I hear the same noise now and then. I opened up the hood and saw that it was a some type of a sensor. It's a ticking sound. It says on it MOT i think. There is a tube going into it from the engine then going to somewhere i dont know, but it goes underneath the car. I diconnected the tube and there was no liquid, some gas passage it seems.
