hm, i don't want to lose my cd changer but might consider the option that Daptin did above. Why doesn't anyone make a splitter so one can use alternate between the cd changer and the AUX input, even if it required having a visible switch protruding from the dash where you'd have to toggle between the two??
I guess removing the radio isn't really a big deal...now that I've done it..so I wouldn't have to pay for installation. Daptin, do you have pictures of wht was done? I'm guessing no, but I want to find out exactly how and where to plug in this Logjam part if I decide to get it.

am trying to picture what you're describing, but.... for one thing, it isn't
possible to toss in a 'splitter' (in the conventional sense) because the
D2B changer is digital compliant, whereas the Aux In is analog. never
the twain shall meet.

What I did was remove the stereo and insert the cassette tape adapter and routed the wire out the back (so the tape door closes). I bring the wire out at the ash tray. Here are some pics showing my portable XM MyFi radio and how it connects.

The stereo head requires a tool you can find cheap on ebay, really very easy to do.

I don't have any pics but it is pretty easy to do. First off you need to remove the radio head unit using the MB tools. Then there are a couple of screws holding the metal casing of the head unit on. After you remove the metal case you insert the tape adapter and then run the wire out thru the back of the case (there is a big enough gap to fit it thru) then route the cable to your satellite reciever. Its actually alot easier then it sounds.
