Well many of you guys have followed my brake failure saga with my w211 for the past 3-5 months and MB has decided to finally just buy back my car. Unfortunately I cannot get them to do a tansfer of collateral; however there picking up the 12k dollar buyout payment to chase. Makes you wonder what they are gonna do with such a heavily modded car. How can they resell it when it contains things MBUSA cant service because they are "undocumented" in their service manuals? If a folding mirror breaks, for instance, how are they going to replace it for the consumer?

All in all, they ARE doing the right thing by you, and they WILL work out the quality issues fairly soon -because they HAVE to.

...MB dealers in the US use the same WIS as the MB dealers in the ROW...and that WIS documents almost all original MB mods...it is just a matter of knowing where to find that info...
