Finally some pics...what do you think?
First let me just say that I was originally fairly dissappointed because the Mrs. put a limit on my wheel allowance. (She's trying to cure me of my lifelong mod fever, she says... ) So I searched and searched, and found these on ebay for an unbelievable price. I have a set of AMG lowering links on the way from a vendor on the East Coast as well (without her knowing, or course...lol). They should be arriving tomorrow.
Anyway, I liked how these wheels turned out. They're 19 x 8.5 (front) and 19 x 9.5 rear. The centers are hyper black gun metal, with diamond cut polished lips. The entire package, brand new, with tires, cost me $1699.00. What do you guys think?

Looks sharp!
Hi, Dreamz.
It looks sweet. As a friend of mine who is REALLY into mods might say, "keep the car, lose the wife!"
Take care and enjoy the ride; it should be getting sweet in Chi-town any time now. GO CUBS!

My bad...
Hey, Dan. Why did I think you were in Chicago? I have to get a new crack dealer.
But I'm still a Cubs fan.
In truth I wish my friend's wife would exercise a little control; the guy really loves his mods. And the bad part is he encourages me to spend lots of money in that vein as well. Your wife sounds like a keeper; I'm sure my friend is just joking when he makes such comments.
Take care,
Greg

Thanks.
The wheels are from a new company called Ruff Racing. And regarding tint, you can't tell from the pics, but there's mirror tint on there. It actually sets off the hyper black gun metal centers of the wheels perfectly.

Extensive list of mods, including 3 motor rebuilds, competition sound systems, 6 point cage, and the list goes on and on. That figure does not include maintenance or other misc wear and tear costs throughout the 4 years of ownership. Sadly, that car spent more time in the shop then on the road. Now that I think about it, I can say that a lot of the mod money was wasted on R&D. If I ever get the chance to do it over, I would save a good portion of that money.

What kind of mods did you have? 427 stroker, ATI D1SC Supercharger, A&A TT, Magnuson SC?
I had the Agostino Racing Stage II Heads and Cam and bought an ATI D1SC Supercharger but because my compression was 10:1.....I had to buy the A&A bigger single intercooler, Racetronix Fuel Pump and other goodies to safeguard the bottom end. I decided to sell the car before I installed the SC.....that was a waste of money on my part.
3 motors rebuild you must be pushing some major HP.....hopefully you beefed up the bottom end and forged your pistons and connecting rods.

I co-founded Rev Xtreme in Tampa, but sold the company + Vette to my partner when I left at the end of last year. I was also one of the orginal victims of the MMS "Valve Spring" issue in 2000, which led me to Norris in Orlando. There's nothing like dumping over $15K for a H/C car, right? LOL All in all, the car had 3 different engine packages during my ownership. I recently heard they replaced the forged 408 for a new 346 R&D package. Now, that 408 was the first LQ9/LS6/LS2 combo engine in the country. We were the first to fully tune and utilize certain C6 components in the C5. I'm not sure of the details on the 346. But if I had to guess, I would say forged LS6 with ATI F1R blower.

Sweeeet.......I see Rev Xtreme is a supporting tuner of the CF. Sounds like they are doing very well. Sorry to hear about the Morgan Motorsport situation....are they still in business? I know there was also a big issue about John Hennessy fiasco and lawsuits a couple of years ago. I was lucky that my buddy use to own a Vette shop here and so I got parts at cost. I also know MattG so I decided to buy my H/C from him through A.R.E.(I'm sure you know or heard of him in the CF). HP is addictive.....I swore after getting the H/C....that was it. After a few weeks it wasn't fast enough and I wanted more....LOL.
Congrats on your new W211!

They look sweet! Can you get them in 20"s or any other kind of finishes? Your car looks hot but not totally sure about the gunmetal with the black car. I have black also and would like to get either black or a polished finished wheel. BTW what size are the lips? They look big.

I believe the lips are 2'' in the front and 3" in the rear. I don't know if they make them in 20"s. These were the only ones I found on ebay. Here's a pic of the wheel.

If any of you are interested, please PM me, and I'll forward you the link to my winning purchase on ebay. You can contact the vendor directly. Would I recommend them? For the price, I don't think you can find a better set of wheels. I love the looks, and feel. There was one minor modification done by my mechanic for the front wheels. They fit a bit too snug for his liking so he lightly ground the cores of the front wheels.
