Lost odometer?

My E320 CDI went in for its first service yesterday.

Now the odometer display at the bottom of the instrument panel is just a row of flashing hyphens.

As well as the oil etc, they did a number of outstanding bulletins on the car.

By the time I picked up the car there was no-one left there who could look at it.

Is there any easy way to restore the display, or will I have to take it back in on Monday?

John

Same thing happened to me. Just a row of flashing hyphens where the odometer display would otherwise be. D on the left and S on the right remain, however.

What the heck is going on? I saw no mention of what this means in the owner's manual either.

Disconnect the batteries and see if that helps.

Does disconnecting the battery work?
Is there another way to do this?

Bring it back to the dealer.

Yeah. Bring it back. You'd just be guessing what to do. They'll know where to look.

Bring it back to the dealer. The tech forgot something while utilizing the SDS.

Ps
I took my car to a shop that specializes in European cars, not a Mercedes dealer.
