I find it very strange that I am unable to find a model car of the 211, let alone a E-500 that I have. All the others are there including the exotic MB's, but no 211. Why is this? I think its a great looking car and would translate to a very nice model. Certainly all of us would buy one.

Does anyone know of a source for a E-500 model car?

I remember it being difficult to find a nice w208 model before. I would love to find a put-it-together-yourself model.

I think the real car looks a lot better than the pictures of the model. I think I could do a much better job of photography than the person who did the Kyosho photos.

 

As usual, the Forum is the place to find information. I do not know how I missed the model in MBUSA.

minichamps make very nice w211 so far released in blue, silver and black....1/43 scale...........ebay or do a google search, i had no problem finding one. ewa model cars in greenbrook nj has them. ewacars.com

so far no electrical problems, but it pulls to the right........lol!!!!!

 

For those who don't know this, when you buy a high end car (certainly MB or BMW) you can ask the dealer for a model car and they will give it to you. I asked mine for the model car when I picked my E class up and a week later I rec'd the model car from the salesperson.

This is one of those things that if you ask they will give it. But, they will never tell you that if you don't ask. A friend of mine learnt this about 4 months after he bought his BMW X5 but by then it was too late....

 

I am a nut case of a die-cast car collector and needless to say, I have the Kyosho 211. It is an "average" quality piece even though Kyosho has made MUCH better pieces. Maisto made the new CLS and it looks VERY GOOD in the darker color.

I wish they made the 211 in uber quality of some of the sports cars but they hardly bother with the "common cars".
