I am ordering the E350 within today or tommorw. Should i order the production in July or production in September? Normally there's summer holiday at Auguest in Germany. Will they produce the 06 Model after the summer holiday (September)? In 05 model, SBC is the standard. But It was not standard in 02-04 model. Now the active light system is optional, how about 06 production? Please give me advice.

Thank you
Bon Shek

I can't read it.. Where are you located? Here the E320, E320 CDI, E350, E500, E55 all have SBC.

All W211's have the SBC braking system. It's not likely to change until the next version of the E-Class (W212) comes out in 2008 as a 2009 model.

In the U.S., the E350 was called a 2006 model when it replaced the E320 in 2005.

Ask your salesman if there will be a difference in content or in price. Otherwise, I don't see that it makes much difference.

Now. The big thing is model year depreciation. You will basically get a 2 month free ride.

The only feature issue would be is you were waiting for the new appearance package which I believe includes 18" wheels. However with leather optional, I don't think it is the value it once was.

I would definitely consider the leather interior with the ventilated seats. In addition to being very useful, the ventilated seats seem to come with a higher quality leather.

The E350 is already called a 2006. The E500 and E320 CDI will change to a 2006 model year but I don't see how the E350 would be effected until the 2007's come out next year.

I don't think we are going to get the appearance package with 18" wheels that is shown on edmunds.com, but we'll see. I'll see if I can have my dealer search for the 950 or 952 option code.

As to someone elses comment regarding leather coming with the appearance package. UNder the current ordering system leather is included in the appearance package. (MBUSA's build your own is woefully out of date and most of the information there is wrong)

Thanks,
Adam

He said nothing to change, but i felt he lie to us. Maybe he just wants the sales quota.

Actually i am ordering the W211 with the sport package (952P). It shows below
1. 18"rim Front 245 Rear 265.
2. MB Sport suspension.
3. 831- Leather Anthracite (Recaro Seats).
4. 4 Pistons break system.
5. Dual exhuasts.
6. Bird's eye maple finish

Do you think any difference between the production on July and September????
