Kleemann supercharger on E500 4-MATIC?

Hi guys,

I wonder if it's possible to upgrade an E500 4-MATIC with a kleemann/or brabus/or etc-supercharger?

I really love the AWD-system, but I want the power too.
Unfortunately the E-AMG has the power, but doesn't have AWD.

So i'm thinking of getting the e500 4matic, and supercharging it, so I have both (Power+AWD). Is it possible?

Realize you will most likely lose every penny when you go to sell the E500 with that kind of upgrade. I know Kleemann has had much success with adding SC'ers to cars, but that is one BIG upgrade. A pulley or ECU is one thing, adding something like that makes me queasy. What's that cost, about 15K? An E500 4Matic with the SC and you're right at E55 prices. Do yourself a favor and get the E55 with a winter wheel/tire package. Rear wheel drive cars have done just fine in Europe forever. I think the whole SUV craze in the US has made people forget about that. I read somewhere (maybe Tirerack's site) that a rear wheel drive car with proper snow/ice tires performed better in the snow than a front wheel with all-season tires. There are dozens of members in the E55 forum who have gone this route and the car has performed VERY good in the snow. Where do you live?

i agree. iwas looking at s500 4matic's and got a s55 instead. i just use the 4wd pickup or the ml when the weather is real bad. the kleeman sc is too much money.

I live in the Netherlands

It’s not because of the snow and ice, but its more for the all-round grip on the road.

car like a subaru for bad weather days? Seems like a way over the top and needlessly pricey solution with major downside potential.
