Bluetooth? not on an E... you must be thinking of another car maker.

What model year, the 320 was last made in 05. Bluetooth will not work in an MB however I understand that there will be an MB kit to be able to use it. Do not believe its available yet and I do not know which models its for.

Nope! That's for the EXTREMELY over priced cell phone option if you wanted it. I think it's north of $2000 installed.

I would get the concierge and use the free unlimited out going calls and keep your own cellphone for incoming..

concierge?

Does this use cell phone towers or satellite? Would concierge work in remote areas where my cell phone has no-signal?

No its not Sat. It is cellphone technology using other carriers towers. The teleaid began life as analog cell then went to digital.

there you go, but the reception is VERY good, and now (As of '05) airtime is free... so the free out going calls is a real winner for me... talking without a cell in my hands and having MB dial the numbers for me is down right cool

Free Outgoing?

Free in that it's included in the $200 concierge service.. not free in absolute terms.

You hit the "i" button, ask for concierge, and say "dial me: xyx" you talk, when you're don you hit end.

end.

In deciding whether it was worth it to renew Tele Aid (and there was a recent thread on that subject) I've assumed that nothing it does, including theft recovery and emergency assistance, works if the car is out of cell phone range. I don't have any idea which company's cell phone coverage is the relevant coverage, but if Tele Aid is out of range of any cell phone system, it's SOL. The car will still know where it is (if it's not in a garage or otherwise under cover), but that doesn't get you much if Tele Aid can't talk to the car and the car can't talk to them.

Does M-B have any known plans to offer Bluetooth on any of its models? How about the E?

"Can you order flowers for deliver to my wife?"
"Can you get movie tickets to StarWars waiting for me at the theater?"
"Can you find me a company that rents portable a/c units in Phonenix?"
"Can you get me LegoLand tickets at a discount?"
"Can you tell me the 800 number to WAMU Bank and connect me?"
"Can you make reservations to Mortons for Fri at 7PM for 4?"

etc..

PLUS.. the out going calls.

I think it's a total bargain, and far more useful than Teleaid on a daily basis.
