E270 CDI Should be offered in US
Sprinter vans are sold here up to 10,000 lbs with the 2.7L diesel, and I understand in Europe Sprinters actually have 4 cylinder diesels, primarily.
The 2.7 would get a lot of weight out of the front of the car.
Most E drivers are rather, well, older, if its ok to use that term. Fuel mileage is better with the 2.7 diesel and it has enough power to double most US speed limits.
It would be a great second car for E55, Corvette, motorcycle etc owners who have a means to get their speed fix yet need a cheaper yet classy everyday gas-sipper for commutes and trips.
anyway, the 40mpg I get on the highway with the 320 would be what in a 270? 45?
I have E200k with avantgarde sports suspension.
It has good fuel efficiency and enough power comparative to
E240 or over it.[new m271 engine...]---enough power for daily riding
and some sports riding...
but it is in Europe and some region of asia.
I hope it can be sell in US someday...
It pulls much stronger and faster than my previous C240...
Even in my van, i'm able to win many car at the stop light.
Same case with full load and going up hill :v
C270 too would be nice. or even a entrance C180 CDI, thats 99% Diesel lover would purchase

So the E280 CDI is a 3.0 V6 and the E320 CDI is also a 3.0 V6.
At least with the old engine, I6 versus I5, you removed some weight from a critical area, the front, by getting the I5. With the new motor, both cars will weigh the same, so why even get the E280? Could it possible get better mileage in real-world conditions?
Wonder if Sprinter will get the new unseasoned V6 or proven I5? Wonder if the "V" config will fit in the Sprinter, width wise and still leave enough foot and leg room.
