That sticker on the lower right corner of the Windshield
After only about 11 months of ownership of my 05 E500 the "mercedes" sticker on the lower right portion of my windshield is bubbling and coming off. Has anyone experienced this? I have seen people with mercedes' that are over 15 years old, and their stickers are still perfectly in place.
Does anyone know where I can get a new sticker aside from the dealer???

Just like the hood ornament it's tradition.. I think that one is rather new though, and started sometime in the mid '70s.

It appeared in the mid 90's. None of the Mercedes vehicles in Europe have this as standard. As a matter of fact, the badge on the trunk lid is extra! The star is older than dirt, but this branding thing is recent.
When I just had my windshield changed I told my dealer that I wanted the Signature, I find the 2005's font terrible and cheese!
I think that it was done for the American market; it makes up all feel a warm fuzzy when we see little things like that.

We've had previous discussions about the sticker but I personally like it. The salesperson that sold me my car was going to take it off when I took delivery but I told her to leave it on. And the "new" font that simply has "Mercedes" on it is actually off of the one of the originals from a long time ago.
And I remember the "G. Daimler" sticker being on my uncle's '88 190E so it was around during the 80's as well.

I too like the sticker and would rather not expend the energy to remove it. I currently have the MERCEDES sticker although, like Steve, I prefer the SIGNATURE. Oh well, what it is, is what it is.

There is virtually no goo left if you remove the sticker right away. In any event anything remaining is no more difficult to remove than that left by the many warning stickers plastered around the car starting with the one on the ashtray.
