SheepSkin Seat Covers?

Hey,
Does anyone know of some good sheepskin seatcovers. With the winter coming and no heated seats, I am thinking this is the way to go......

First of all, you cannot install skins that cover the entire back rest because there is an air bag in there. Mercedes make the proper fitting sheepskins.

As to sheepskins, I've had them in my Mercedes since we bought our first one in 1984. IMHO, you cannot skimp on sheepskins. If you get cheap ones, it's possible they won't be lined and they'll screw up your leather upholstery. If they get wet they will stink, they will wear out prematurely and/or they simply won't function the way they should.

Get MB skins. I don't have them on my E320 but the ones we've had in the past have been beautifully made. I've had sheepskins on our 1991 300E from the day we bought the car and they show no signs of wear. We've used them in the cold of Minnesota and the heat of Arizona. Before that we had MB skins on a 190D in the heat and humidity of North Carolina and they functioned perfectly in that climate.

Again, do not skimp. You will simply waste your money. The skins on my 300E cost $500. The ones for the E320 are a good deal cheaper because they don't cover the entire seat or the head rest like the ones on the 300E.

I intend to get sheepskins for the E320 one of these days because I don't want to be without them.

Oh yes, they also add considerable comfort to the firm MB seats by providing a soft layer.

I have a pair of the OEM, and love them.. I only installed the driver side, this way I have a spare skin down the road when this one gets ratty.

I had MB sheepskin on my e320 seats. Over a three year span I was quite satisfied with the grey (charcoal interior) in comfort and appearance for the price paid.

People who put cheap skins on their seats or (heaven forbid) imitation sheepskins are just plain dumb. Good sheepskins are a great investment. As I said, the MB skins on the 190D were in good shape when we sold it 17 years after we bought it. The 300E is at 14 years and counting and they look nearly perfect.

We even have a high quality sheepskin mattress cover on our bed and wouldn't be without it. It was there in Minnesota and it's there in Arizona.

And for those who have Stone leather, sheepskins should help avoid the problem of the leather picking up dye from clothing.

Can anyone post pictures of them on a W211?
