Who here are members of MBCA?
I joined three months ago. So far not bad. Good magazine and great discounts with certain dealerships.

Worth it
I'd say it is worth it for the parts discount, magazine and activities such as the VPC tour. There are a lot of other activities you can do if you are interested such as autocrosses, tech sessions, parties etc. The local chapter here in DC is well run.

Great magazine and good people. We have been members for 7 years and have met some very interesting people at MBCA events. Our local dealer gives 10% discount on parts and service so the cost is worth it.

Definitely good people....and good for networking. The magazine has good stuff in it. Don’t forget about their forum.

Second on the DC-area comments.
I went to Star Tech this year after I got my CDI. It was a blast. There's nothing like being able to speak with the guys who designed your engine and a tech from the company that built the entertainment/nav system.
I also went autocrossing for the first time via the MBCA.
If you want to learn about your car, maybe learn a little something about driving better, and to meet some nice people, the MBCA is probably worth a look.

I don't quite get yet why they cannot set up some kind of similar program as BMWCCA, where there is a discount by category on the cars after you have been a member for over a year. That alone makes it worth it for me, even though I am not a current BMW owner. The possibility of me being one alone is enough to pay $90 for 3 years to save 500 or 1000.
