Will OEM W211 rims fit on a W124?

Will 17" Sport rims from an '03 E500 fit an unlowered '95 E420? Or will modifications be necessary?

Thanks

I looked into that last year and it's not going to fit. The bolt sizes are different, so are the offsets.

Check this link from an eBay member selling the same rims. He claims they will fit

Seems to me the seller should properly disclose if the wheels are 'bolt-on' or if other steps must be taken. If you have to buy a full set of lug-bolts in a totally different size, the seller should list that information. Big difference between 12mm and 14mm lug bolts...

I had a W124 and I had wheel locks for it. I knew that the bolts were different size, but they are also significantly smaller in the diameter of their seat. I imagine that it could be possible to find the correct kind of bolts, but it would be a significant search.

To be sure, I would also call the tirerack and ask a customer service rep. They tend to be very helpful. I would trust them a lot more than I would a seller on E-bay.

I did check with Luke of tirerack and he has confirmed they don't fit.

I do recall finding some company that specializes in these odd sized bolts. But without having the actual rims there they would not be able to find a suitable one.

So I ended up selling my W211 rims.
