Exterior photos
I took some new pictures for your enjoyment gents. Some are better, some are worse, the sky was overcast, so the lighting conditions were changing, so the colour looks a bit different in most of the pics.
It's a Brilliant silver and on a sunny day with a clear sky it has a little bit of blue tinge to it (reflection?).
The wheels are 17" with 245/45 R17 Michelin tyres, this is the standard wheel design for Elegance cars in Europe. Some people find them too conservative, "old school". Well, I really like them, they look good in real life and easy to clean too.
I've already posted some pics earlier, for the newer members here is the link.

Great pictures.
Those are the wheels I will be getting with my E320 Elegance.
Are you sure they are 17" or are they 16" as I understood that the standard Elegance wheels are 16"?

The current U.S E Class pricelist says that the E320 and smaller engined cars get 16" wheels when you order Elegance and only 17" when you order an E 500.
That's why I think the wheels are 16",even though you said the car is a Europe spec.
I would be surprised if they were standard over there as they tend to be less well equiped then the U.S cars.

Guys, thank you for all the kind comments, I enjoyed taking the pictures too.
Callaway,
That is a 17" version of a standard Elegance design 16" wheels. It is the same in Europe as in the US in the sense you mentioned, 320 and lesser engined models get 16" as standard and 500 gets 17".
We have 17" wheels on the car as they came together with a sports suspension which we ordered as an option. It lowers the car about half an inch front/back and is stiffer too.
The car looks great slightly lowered and with bigger wheels. I suggest you looking into ordering sports suspension/bigger wheels combination, I'm sure it's the same in Australia. It wasn't expensive, but the car handles better and the comfort is still more than sufficient and the looks speak for themselves.
I hope I've explained it well.
LILRAJA,
If to describe it in fabric terms it is like a velvet - smooth, quiet and comfortable. I really like it, really is what we were looking for. A long distance comfortable cruiser with a great range figure.
