Change Background Image on NAVI

How do you change / upload your own image to the screen?

I saw some people had it done, I am sure its not easy, but all help will be appreciated.

boot screen?

Are you talking about the screen when you turn the car on or actually the screen background while the car is on?

I changed my to read "AMG" when i turn teh car on by using the 3-5-9 trick (do a search)...

Welcome to Many_Sources_of_Information.com

And here I was going to suggest that @nv@ right-click on the screen, choose "Properties" from the menu, and then choose the "Desktop" tab.

Don’t quite know what you mean however, if you’re referring to my posting the procedure instructional it’s already been widely posted – nothing new. If you’re referring to the DTB statement, do the non-believers now believe MBUSA knows about and reacts to our forums?

The latter. I'm agnostic on the point of whether MBUSA routinely pays attention to online forums, but having whoever penned this "DTB" acknowledge the wide distribution of the "5+3+7 trick" was interesting. Doesn't work on an '03, I take it. In some ways the '03 is more like a W210.9 than a fully-evolved W211.

konigtiger:

..not so sure that that answers the question.

I believe the question is referreing to the subtle, blue'ish-grey background images on the individual screens for each application (radio, nav, phone, etc.).

Now, for my $.02, given the lack of a user input interface (bluetooth?) I would not think there to be a way to accomplish this without going through StarDiag or some other comparable, proprietary, "mucho expensivo" interface. Hopefully I'm wrong, and someone DOES know a way to accomplish this via some other, nifty, hidden menu/trick...

Alright guys(gals), the ball's in your court. Bring it!

Actually wasn’t trying to answer the question per se, more so offering advise/warning in case of malfunction in the process.

I think the screen he is refering to is the "Boot Up" screen, which displays the Tri-Star momentarily. I'm sure he wants to replace this image with one that contains an image or wording that refers to him.

..not a bad idea to allow the screen to say something like "Hello, You rich, Handsome thug."
