Yes it does 5kph rings a bell.
I am totally 100% against activating this facility and I guarantee that everyone who does it, states they don't look, it is there solely for the front seat passenger. Yeh right... Never ever look .......

U can get into some of that stuff by hiiting 3+4+6+MUTE buttons.
I didn't look around much.. was too cold outside. Might play some more tommorow.
One thing I did notice was under Error (Fehler in his pic) that I had some errors reported and it reports the milage when the error occured. All were higher than what my odometer reads. Are those in kilometers maybe?

Not much more details I can give right now as I was only in the car for a few minutes last night (midnight or so and snowing).
All I did was press 3 and 4 and 6 and MUTE at the same time and the Engineering Mode menu popped up.
Shows Software, Hardware, MOST, Devices, Error.. stuff like that.
All I did was look at what devices were installed, errors and a couple of the software versions.
From there I think you can get into the DVD specific menu.. probably another key sequence. Not sure if it will even work on my car.
One thing I did notice was it listed a DVD in the devices menu, but it showed it as DVD-ROM.. which I think is the NAV drive. Others were CD based (CD and CDC).
Oh..my car is a 2005 E500.

I've seen on here that the Comand is upgradeable via CD or something.
I don't have this CD, but if I did (or the files off it), I could reverse engineer the software and hopefully tell what can be done on it.
I do reverse engineering for a living.. mainly on automotive PCM's.
I've gotten into the PCM on my E500 already and I'm currently writing tuning software for it. 300HP is just not enough
I've seen on here that the Comand is upgradeable via CD or something.
I don't have this CD, but if I did (or the files off it), I could reverse engineer the software and hopefully tell what can be done on it.

Today I am going to Mercedes to find out if they can change the settings on my '06. I will report back....
