Video in motion.... AcTiVaTeD!!!
Activated!
I bought a Euro head unit for $900 shipped and $200 for install at the dealer today. I got into the engineering menu easily and activated the video in motion while I was there. Now I just gotta sell my US spec comand to help offset the cost.

P.S. I took a big risk on the buying the Euro head unit. I could have easily been ripped off by the guy I bought it from. He was like in Lithuania or Russia. Be weary of buying from people not in the US. I was VERY lucky!

Do both the US and Euro head units have TV tuners with the US one disabled?

The one I am selling is the same one that you currently have.
The 4x4 went away, Ill work on a new sig pic!
US comand units do not have the TV or DVD feature. Only the Euro units have those features.
As for the 5+ 3&7, nope there is a much longer sequence to get into the engineering menu on the Euro comand.

Great...... Not only do we fellow riders and drivers have to deal with volvo driving soccer moms with their friggin cell phones shoved in their ear, now we have another cartoon watching driver to share our roads.....
Be easy on us and pay attention..... Although It wouldn't be the first time I've put a boot in the side of the car as I rode by....

I'm sorry but I just don't understand why anyone would want there command to display video in motion when you're driving the car. One thing to have the monitor in the rear seat but when your driving and it is displayed on the command ???? I highly depend on what my console is telling me versus looking at the screen of the command unit. Drivers can't even focus talking on a damn cellphone without smacking into someones car. Hope you have good insurance for when you watching "The Fast and Furious"

I prefer not to post it up on here, the code was given to me by someone who made me promise not to post it out on the forums. If someone needs it, PM me.

In my 1999 suburban, I had front and rear video. I undestand that it is illegal and the safety issues associated with it when not used properly.

Euro comand...
I have a 2005 Comand which plays CD MP3 data discs, not DVD's in the cars single slot player. Does the eurodisc play DVD MP3 disc - im assuming it does, thus giving you 4.6 GIG of music, shown by folder?
Also - I currently have have sat & nav - i thought i read somewhere if you get a eurocomand, you lose the sat - is that correct? i would not use the eurocomand for video.
any help is appreciated.
thx.

DVD on a non-Euro Command Console
All,
I have a US version of the 2003 E320 (W211) with the stock Command Unit & Nav. After using the 5-3-7 menu to change my settings to 211-euro for BOTH keyboard and the unit I am now able to play Video DVDs --> this was not possible prior to changing the settings in the 5-3-7 menu.
I am able to access the engineering menu easily, however I cannot bring up the additional menus for enabling MP3 playback --> this is what I am truely interested in getting working. I have tried the "# * <--" trick and don't get the extra soft-keys, I have held the buttons for at least 30-seconds as well as changing the sequence. Can someone help?
If you don't feel like a general post, please PM me with the instructions!
Thanks in Advance!!

DVD on a non-Euro Command Console
So Code Charlie,
So being I have the US command, I can just change the unit to view in URO and lang, put in the codes you listed and it will play from the head unit or from the trunk dvd unit? Does that mean my view on the head unit will now be in URO and not English?
Thanks.
