This is definitely a fake/CG Image. One way to see is to look at the interior through the window in the middle section. The image there is an exact copy of the interior part from the rear window (left side of the window interior).

Plus MB would not make an LWB version like the one shown. It would look different.

Yeah...all of the LWB versions of the W210 that I have seen have been longer with 6 doors.

I think the long wheelbase version would cut into the S Class market as the new E has all the options of the S but not quite the internal length.

So why buy the more expensive S Class?

JUST NOt IN US

The last time Mercedes made a stretch E Class it was simply limited to certain markets. I believe there are [or at least were] semi 3rd world countries that don't get the S Class (probably for service and support reasons) but which have a market for a stretched version of the E Class. It also would have a market for some types of fleet purchasers (upscale hotels, limo-taxi services).

Wouldn't be surprised to see it sharing the Maybach assembly line where the robot cages are already stretched to fit the longer version Maybach body.

Are they going to make that? This is getting to be too confusing!

In HK we have a E280 W210 limo. Priced at $152K USD whereas the S500 is priced lower at 120K. I think MB will make a limo W211.
