AC on LOW everytime car comes back from dealer
I've noticed many times when I pick up my car from dealer for service, the AC is always cranked to lowest temperature. Is this a standard procedure they do when running diagnostics? Not just on the W211, but other MB vehicles.

Several dealerships, we do, perform whats called a Courtesy Inspection, which includes a/c cooling .... now if your car is parked in the heat, and you are picking it up, they may also be trying to cool your car down for you by the time you get the car.?.?
As for joy riding, I'd think that anyone willing to lose their job over a joy ride would chose something like an SLR or other exotic to play with... it's like stealing $500. ??? Why?
( note: I am smiling while I am typing this reply, hoping you were kidding about the joy ride part )

I notice often that after a quicktest is ran using SDS, the blower/ac will be on even if it was turned off before hand. SDS powers it for diagnostics I'm sure.
Otherwise, it was probably hot as hell inside, the tech was checking to see how it cooled(seriously)... Thats about all I can think of.
