NO big change at all other the the HP 550

2007 E550 and 2007 335i
2007 E class at New York show
I was wondering if anyone has been to the New York auto show and seen the 2007 E class on display. If someone has, could you post your impressions and any other info you learned from the show.

To be honest, I didn't think much of the changes at all. I really didn't care for the new nose on the car, like my 2005 better. That being said - i really went their to see if by chance they had the car's electronics on to see what changes were made to the COMAND and of course, nothing was on and the car was roped off. Personally - i don't even like the new rims. Anyway, about the only thing that would give me buyers remorse is not having the new V8, but the press release they had there said 0-60 times were at 5.4 w/ the new engine, i could of swore they were 5.8 or so with the old.

I did have the chance as I was right there the whole week, but I had already seen pics, and heard of some of the changes, so it didn't seem worth it.
The only think I envy on the new model is the pre-safe, otherwise (at least as far as the CDI is concerned) I prefer my 2005, with all of the "standard" features that have since been removed.. i.e. automatic moving seat/steering column, SBC brakes, and a 3.2L Iron block I-6 engine... but to name 3 items that are gone/worse on the 2007.

These pics have been posted before, and many said they were "concept" pics done on photoshop type software... Do you know for certain this IS the next e... the W212? I've seen that lower pic described as the next C..
2009 MB models so I was told???
