W211 E320 modding Q's...

So i'm thinking about picking up an W211 E320. Here are the mods I'd like to do. Can anyone tell me the prices and feasibility/availability of the mods please?

Brakes: W211 AMG BBK- Straight bolt on no mods?
bodykit: Brabus / Expression ...what else is nice out there? No AMG no thanks.
exhaust: whichever fits w/ the kit
Wheels: 20" baby.
Suspension: which ones slams it the most? No airmatic.

Alright that's all thanks

no no, not for my W210 E55, but for the W211 that will replace it. Most likely just an E320.

Is there a reason why you're replacing an E55 with an E320?

Personally I would replace it due to the interior.. Just my opinion.

Financial sense. Otherwise I'd get a w211 E55.

I would be interested to see how much your modifications would cost compared to the price difference of buying a second-hand E55.

I was thinking about it. Let's say $4k for brakes, $10k for supercharger, $3k for bodykit, 1500 for exhaust, and the little stuff here and there, say 20k. I buy an E320 for 30k, tack on 20 that's 50k. Still 10k away from the E55, but I dont have the cool stuff like the rear sunshade, heated seats, digital A/C, active seats. but I think this car is not gonna be a show car like the others I've had in the past and is just gonna be my daily driven car. Sure I'll mod it a bit, but not all hardcore. My next show project will be Japanese and RHD.

I just think you're going to really miss that E55 engine. You said you can buy an E320 for 30K? Look around a bit more. My coworker just bought an '04 E500 with 24K miles, NAV, well-optioned for 34K. AFter adding on a supercharger, you won't miss your E55 engine as much!

2004 E320 with AMG bodykit
I can help you out with the AMG big brakes..

I just installed them on my 2004 W211 E320, it's "almost" a straight bolt on (i thought it was but once I had installed at the dealership they had to do some modifications)..

I got it for the equivalent of USD $3300, installation and re-programming of StarD cost me around $400 But then again dealership prices here in Dubai are cheaper than the States (from what i've heard)

Braking is noticeably sharper, better yet, there's no annoying break noise that I got from my OEM rotors/pads

AMG-fanatic: I have been looking into this same mod for my '03 E320. Can you tell me what modifications had to be done? I understood it to be a straight bolt on application - calipers, rotors, pads. Your price is similar to what I have been quoted - $2900 for calipers, rotors, pads on all 4 corners from dealer without install ($3900 list). I'm also trying to find the calipers from a low mileage wrecked E55 and just buy new rotors and pads, no luck yet though! Thanks.

The AMG BBK are really cheap. I think it was something like $1700 in parts for the front only when I got a quote from my parts dept.

I'm interested in knowing what modifications are needed if any.

I got my front set of 2x (8-piston calipers with rotors, pads and wiring) for USD$2000 I wish I knew about your prices, probably could've saved around $600+ in buying the whole kit...

Anyways, what I remember (vaguely) was that a certain part had to be sent to the workshop for adjustment.. Problem is I'm in Australia now on business for around 4 weeks but if it's urgent I can call back home and try to get hold of the service advisor who did the job

I would be very interested in getting the brake kit from your partrs department. The damn noise from the stock brakes are giving me a hugh headache. I m located in LA. Please let me know when you are making the purchase thanks.

This is what I've read so far. Either you buy an E55 Spindles for the front or have your existing spindles for a non AMG car modified a bit to accomodate the E55 brakes. The rears are simple, it will just bolt on. This is what MBenzNL (Steve) told me. Steve has a 6 piston and 8 piston for the fronts for sale.
