Thinking of getting H&R but it only drop the car 1.5 front and 1.3 rear, was told that I can only drop the rear with the shim methods but fronts doesn't have shims.
I was looking @ my car and it looks like I have at least 3.5" gap in the front. I'd like to drop the car by about 2" front and 1.5 rear.
It'll be optimum if I can eliminate all fender gap all around.

I've done it w/ HR springs all ready. lower it with conjuction of the shims (spring pads) and you will get a much lower drop than specified by the spring manufacturer.
Mine droped about 2.5 (quessing), tops of tires are not visible anymore.
BTW: I have shims for sale never installed, the lowest ones available by Mercedes.

but I thought there are no shims available for the front springs?
How many additional inches is the drop of the shims you have for sale?

3.5 inch gap? or 3.5 fingers?
I dropped my car with H&R springs this past weekend. I had about a 3 finger gap and now it sits a little less than .5 inch above the tires. When the car is full with 4 people, the rear tires are tucked and the fronts are flush with no gap.
H&R springs are amazingly comfortable for the benz. I used to have H&R's for my 05 Volvo S40 and the ride was completely different. Way to harsh... I also had/have 19's on both cars.

How are you guys getting your camber adjusted?
I'd hate to have uneven wear with the price of 19" tires being way up there.
I have about 3 finger gaps in the front and probably the same in the back. I drive alone most of the time, I don't plan on relying on 4 fat guys to make my car look good.

I had my tahoe done @ freman frame a few years back, didn't fix the problem though.
Did they pull have to bend something or was it a simple allignment?

I lowered my car soon after I bought it. Without aligning, my insides were shot after just 10,000 miles (stock tires). Replaced the tires, got an alignment, and squeezed 22,000 miles out of them (was running slicks by the end). Been good ever since.
If you don't want any custom work done, have them align the toe. That's easy, and is the major cause of inner tire wear.
