Side mirror adjusting when driving?

Side mirror adjusting when driving?
Usually my side mirror would only adjust when i'm in reverse. But all of a sudden the past few days it would adjust itself when I'm driving on "D" I had to permanant turn it off for now. what may have cause this?

First adjust the mirror for your driving forward view. Press the Memorize button & then driver 1 button. Do the same (M + 2)for driver 2 then for driver 3. This will re memorize your driving forward mirror position for all 3 drivers. Now re memorize the memorized "look down" position of the mirror for when you are in reverse. That should do it.

I have a similar problem, when I'm in reverse it goes down, and than in Drive it will go back to memory position. Sometimes when I'm in D it will start to adjust but stop halfway from totally going to memory.

hi there, i had a quick question similar to this. My passenger wont go down when i am in reverse. i forgot how to set it so it does. all i remember is that the passenger miror button has to be pressed and it is but it doesnt go down anymore, can someone please help? also, if i dont put my seatbelt on there is no light that comes on, is this the same for you guys? TIA!

Seatbelt light, only happens in 2005 and later I believe. There is a chime in 2004 and earlier.

OK,, here is how I do it not saying this is correct.
I set the memory with the seat, mirrors etc set the way I drive with the mirror select on Right. Then I put the car in Reverse depress the right mirror set selector and set the mirror how I want it in reverse. Then enter the Memory + position while in reverse. When I shift back to Drive the mirror returns to my normal driving positon.
I gave up trying to have the wife not mess up my memory so I now use position 3 which I told her no one uses.
My settings are in M3 but when I get in and use my normal setting and find it all
up. I just use the M3 to return everything to "normal for me". and then save to my (memory slot). Don't worry she also dumps the Memory in the Corvette the same way. so I use M3 on the Corvette also.

You have it. Keep looking. The menu and sub-menu system on the MFD took me a while to get good at. I remember sitting in the garage with the owners manual on my lap when the car was new.

b4 i do though...id like to make sure im even on the same page...the menu and sub menu your referring to is accessible through the buttons on the steering wheel...correct?

Near side passanger reversing mirror sometimes not working
I had a problem with the mirror would and sometimes not work when reversing.
The fault was due to the ribon cable in the mirror housing (head).
It was going sometimes open circuit as not providing power.
I was told very comon fault....The Technician pined the fault soon as I told him the fault.
Repaired under warrantry 15 minute job.
Les...Chestefield U.K. Now 35,000 miles....Only major job Replaced airomatic pump.
