1 issue, the alarm chirp stopped working. replaced at dealer and given a e-class loaner for the day. Other than that after 16K miles.. nothing.. I love my Diesel.

I see that the E320 CDI has been removed from the MBUSA ED program page. Perhaps they're no longer offering the 7% off; likewise the S Class is not available for the discount either.

'05 E320 CDI, '07 VW Touareg V10 TDI, 2007 Porsche GT3
Our '05 is now almost 2 years old. It's needed the front seat covers replaced (manuf. defect), it's had a minor fuel leak repaired and the SBC pump assembly replaced as part of a recall. It has an intermittent very minor surging problem at low speeds that disappears when it's at the dealer.

Suggest you do a search on ED on this forum. I wrote a long summary when we got back from Stuttgart in '04. It's a great experience. Hope M-B still offers it.

The CDI is a 2006 model, and is no longer produced...so no longer available for order or ED. The 2007 Bluetec that will replace it is not available yet, so it is not listed on the website, either.

This is the answer I got from MBUSA when I asked a couple of weeks ago:

"The E320 Bluetec will become available for European Delivery in November of this year. At this time, you may pre-order the vehicle at any authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership for European Delivery in November."

Obviously it was to all of us that bought one. Whether you think it's worth it is a decision you have to make on your own.

Nobody can answer that question for you; it's up to you. It's "worth it" to me, and to a lot of others on here.

Alan, you and I seem to be on the very same page on this board!
