I have an 03 e320 with dvd navigation.. how can I make it play actual dvd movies??? thanks for the help!

 

Read here, you need to get a Euro comand. The US version will not play DVD movies.

I have US 2003 E320, and used 3-5-7 trick to allow playing DVD movies. Read following thread:

Brief summary from miguk_saram:

* it's not 3-5-7; it's 5, then 3-7, hold until menu appears;
- change to the appropriate settings
- turn off the command (without switching screens)
- turn off the car, leave off for about 5 minutes
- come back and check to make sure the settings took
* both the keypad and the display need to be set to ECU
* insert the DVD into the single CD slot; you should get some sort of acknowledgement from the unit, whether or not it's able to read the DVD.
* if the settings took and it can't read the DVD, then sorry, you're out of luck; if the settings didn't take, then try again and leave the car off for a longer period of time.

 

Some US comands have DVD drives while some dont. I believe most if not ALL EURO comands have DVD drives.

 

correction, i have an 04 e320.. is there anything i can do to reprogram my current unit to play dvds??
