DIY:Changing to lowering springs

Has anybody done/installed lowering springs on their W211 E320 by themselves, if yes, I would very much appreciate instructions. Was thinking of lowering my car via Eibach Sport Springs, but the labor cost for a shop is a little bit steep (how much do they usually cost anyway?). I have Lexion 201's, 8.5/20 offset 38 in front and 9.5/20 offset 39 in rear, will they fit if I lower the car? Also, are there other brands (springs) and stores you can suggest?

I prefer the H&R's..

I paid $200 for labor and $80 for alignment.

$400 is a good price. Did they also do alignment with that price?

I did the front myself but don't have the tools to do the rear. I have a hydraulic spring compressor which made the job extremely easy. Still have not figured out which tools is needed for the rear yet.

W211 with H&R springs

To CC_350 and others that used the H&R springs -- have you ever experienced your front wheels rubbing on the top of the inside front fender when turning onto driveways? And mostly on right turns? Example: wheels turned right so they're sticking out and then turning into a steeper than normal driveway (i.e. not a gas station).......

To compensate I've just been taking these turns really slow.

Just wondering.

H&R springs does not drop the car that low, 1.3 fr 1.5 rear sounds very and I was looking for ways to drop it more closer to 2 inches, but after I installed the fronts, I can stick about 2 fingers between the wheel well. I can't say about the rear but it should be nicely even. However, I wish I can drop it another .5" all around then I would have no gap what so ever. But then again, you'll be paying for it when it's time for changing tires.

And no will not rub your wheel liner with H&R unless you've installed it incorrectly? I tried to avoid an accident one time and had to gas it going up a step slope, no rubbing of the tires but I did rub my front lip.

I may be imagining but I now feel like my tires hug the road better having just getting the H&R on. I have 19's and ride quality is bearable.
