Haven't seen one like this on MBW. Movin' on up from a C-class. Used a Canon A520 on AF setting for the pics. Overcast weather. The interior really isn't that red.

Spending time STFFing the W211 forum. Already found that I can't get the 5-3-7, commonly known as 3-5-7, trick to work on mine. Seems also there is a reference to other features that have been deleted but are still available in DAS for turn on. Trying to track those down as we speak.

what kind of wheels are you gonna go with, I have a e500 in the same color (pewter) and Im looking to buy new wheels but im not too sure what type of wheel would fit this color, I currently have custom 3 piece wheel with chrome lip and powdercoated center to match the paint, but I was thinking how brushed aluminum would look on this color.

Andy, I want to see more pics of that interior. Holy smack that cognac looks hot......... I think that charcoal dash compliments and makes the cognac stand out even more.
BTW... is that birds eye maple? I am jealous now.

Are the other parts of the interior black, gray, Ash or is it a different color gray when its mated with the other color (cognac?)of the seats & door panels?
Also, I notice that the Heater-A/C controls are electronic like in the '04 E 500 I have. Are they using electronic controls on 2 zone systems, or is the A/C 4 zone?
Love the Pewter... Nice, Nice, Nice!

4 wheels
For 2007 MBZ switched to electronic controls for the climate control, regardless of 4 zone or 2 zone. Its a standard feature, like it should have been from the 1st place.
Its all black on the dash and doors, except where there is Cognac leather. I think the picture shows hints of Ash, but from the Cognac I saw in person there was no Ash, just Black.

the interior is ALL black, include the headliner except for the seats and only the ruffled door panel leather inserts are cognac. The same goes for the sahara beige/black interior. I love this combo!

I like that wood better than the light one as well. It doesn't look like plastic to me.
BTW, you've got mail.

If you look at his pics, you'll see that the Heat-A/C controlls are electronic in the central portion, but the 2 round dials are still like last years "manual" controller. His round dials are where he selects his "temperature" setting. On the fully automatic version, the dials direct where the air blows when the system is taken off "Auto" It must be some sort of half electronic system & not completely automatic.

OK, I tried to take pics but my flash interfered with it. Here are the results:
1) Display does not have digital readout of temp set by electronic dials.
2) Display has all the permutations as indicated by the display; auto fan, auto location, fan speed, manual location, max cool, off.
3) Rest is displayed in the pic but there is no way at the present to activate it. Possibly a DAS change is required (I hope so).

Simpler is better sometimes. Thats a pretty good set up. The only improvement they could make would be to have the current interior temperature of the cabin always be displayed. You would then know how close the temperature is getting to being reached per your manual settings, and it would let you know exactly how hot/cold the interior of the car is when you get in so you know how much work the system has ahead of it, or how well it is doing.

I can imagine the look on MB owners faces when their Climate control reads this.
Auto MAX COOL
Actual temp: 89
Desired temp: 70
