MB extends SBC pump warranty to 10 years.
Good news Re : all model year 2003-2006 e-class, sl-class and 2006 cls-class vehicles.
I was just notified by mail that Mercedes "will extend the warranty on the hydraulic pump within
the SBC/electro-hydraulic brake system to 10 years with unlimited miles from the vehicle'd warranty start date."
"....regardless of ownershiip" Further, "this warranty does NOT cover any other SBC/electro-hydraulic brake system components" .
Plus the usual disclaimers re these other components .

thinking that it had been mailed out in May to then current owners. As an ex, you know us friggin' New Yorkers aren't that thin skinned Konigstiger .
Btw, when you left Brooklyn, was this by chance the last sign you saw ?

2006 E350
I certainly did not know about this. I had just purchased this past August and never received any letter concerning the SBC brake system. I have a 06 E350 and have not had any problems "yet" and I hope not to. Thanks for the reminder and thanks for the new info for us new owners.

Nice to know they are offering this. Come to think of it, this SBC system must be a real pain in the Mercedes *** for them to offer this warranty tho.

Hey Konigstiger, did you miss post #6 ?....that's a real sign on the Belt Parkway, Westbound, about 1/4 mi from the Verrazano Bridge
(Fort Hamilton in the background) You were long gone when that sign was put up.

I did, some images do not automatically come up in Firefox. Dat sign ain’t telling no lie! Most in Brooklyn moved over to Staten Island, I chose to go just a little bit further west
