Modern Mercedes RWD cars, lose roughly ~18% through the drive train. AWD MBs lose closer to ~25 - 28%. So, your 228 bhp C-Class 4Matic, is making about 164-171hp at the wheels.

It's slow, very slow. But sometimes speed isn't the point. You're car has more 'class' than the Infiniti and Mustang mentioned above, but not so sure about it's driver.

The MB 4matic system is a great AWD unit. Enjoy it for what it is, an entry level luxury car, with a great AWD system, that will surely never leave you stuck in the snow. But, stop trying to make it out to be something it's not.

This whole thread is ridiculous. I just watched some of the street race vids posted by 4MATICBENZ. who races a g35 sedan?? an audi a4???? no one considers these performance cars.

Hello all! yet another E350 wishing he had a E550, sad, sad. Like I said before, put up or shut up, meet me at Atco raceway in NJ, anytime, we will go to the highway, do 80 mph, and then floor it, point is this, your E350 will be along side me, not in front, and, so will an older G35 and an older Mustang GT. Period. And your high dollar E550 will limit at 130 MPH, so it will not be keeping too far ahead either, although I do like the E550, E350 is a waste of money for someone who cant afford a E550. A G35 sedan is just as fast as a coupe, and the point is that an S500 destroyed it, so a C300 would hang with it in the same situation. Enough talk. Enough people jealous of the C300 capabilities who own a more expensive, slower car, and people who own antiques. Lets race em, if you cant be here because you live far away, then find a friend on this forum who is in or near Jersey, we will gert a camera, and put it on youtube, lets see how well the C300 keeps up with a E350 or a older G35 or Stang??? I am ready, any takers???? Or shall we say, Pussies???

I didn't buy a mercedes to race it. I whole heartedly admit my E350 is a slow, heavy car. If you bought your MB for performance, you're the fool.

A g35 Sedan is not as fast as a coupe. The engine is detuned and doesn't have anywhere near the HP. Look up the specs.

Finally someone who is knowelgeable and can be respected. I NEVER SAID that the C300 was fast, my vette would do 13.2 in the quarter, the C300 a 15.5 at best, BTW, a 15 second car isnt slow, only by todays standards of performance, a few years back, it was considered fast. I have also driven my neighbors SL55 AMG, and it runs in the 12's. I know what I am talking about, I built my 67 Chevelle and it runs 12.2 in the quarter. You all need to go back to my original post, about keeping up with a Mustang GT conv. and a G35. It happened people, get over it. And I am willing to prove it, given the same type of cars involved. after my original post, I am only defending myself; you people have a hard time beliving the the truth. You tell me how a car with 260 HP is so much faster than one with 228??? Are you saying that gearing has nothing to do with performance??? Transmissions are all the same, power bands and engine tourque and HP curves are all consistient, PCM mapping is exact on all models??? I dont think so. The C300 is geared well enough to pull hard on the highway, no , it dosnt pull like a vette or an AMG, but it does well enough for what it is to keep up with or pull on a 2004 Mustang GT or a 2004 G35, sorry, it does, I did it, and, as I said, willing to do it again. Any takers???

First you go out and find a nice stretch of NJT and post a video of yourself doing 130 mph. When that video is posted I will in fair exchange post a video of the so called antique doing 134mph. Fair enough seems real simple since you seem to be tearing up the roads and pulling like an SOB on a daily basis(in your dreams) Post it when you got it.
